Names of function parameters

The names of some function parameters could potentially also be improved. Example:

num_run num_run_CR num_run_random.

Once you dont have a suffix, once an abbreviated suffix, once a suffix without abbreviation. I am not sure random and complete random are the perfect names, we can think of alternatives that are easier to understand maybe?

What do the others think? Clear enough?
