We met and discussed:

BDP2 works well for manual for drift correction.

However, typically the tail also rotates (more or less).

To correct for this one could consider extending BDP2 to create not only one track, but two and then compute a rotation and a translation.

However, the tail also bends (more or less).

To deal also with the bending we think the best would be to segment the tail and then devise some code to automatically find the mid-line. As this may solve all issues we decided to focus on this for now.

Segmentation of the tail with ilastik should be easy.
