lots of updates, getting ready for NPM mostly

This MR has quite a few file changes. Here are the highlights...

• updates how we get colors
• updates index.scss so it works
• creates a global variables file (only handles the font family at the moment, but need it as a separate thing for index.scss)
• updates imports to explicitly looks for .scss files.
• makes breadcrumbs links use currentColor
• adds secondary and tertiary colours for boxes and buttons
• makes vf-content looks for explicit file paths rather than relative
• adds correct whitespace and correct CSS order around some code
